私達は、この素晴らしい⽇本の芸術・おもてなしの⽂化である、掛軸を世界中で活躍するアーティストと共に世界に向けて発信し、⽇本のおもてなしの⼼と伝統⽂化を次世代へ繋いでいきたいと考えております。

KAKEJIKUYA
1000年以上にわたり受け継がれてきた掛軸技術とその文化。
しかし現在、掛軸の制作や販売は年々減少し、
それに伴い、掛軸の技術や文化も
消えゆくものと見なされつつあります。

その要因の一つとして、求められる掛軸と
実際に作られている掛軸との間に
ミスマッチが生じていることが挙げられます。

さらに、掛軸の楽しみ方や使い方が知られていない、
手に取る機会がないといった複数の要因が絡み合い、
現在の掛軸業界の状況を招いていると考えられます。

KAKEJIKUYAは、掛軸文化を現代のニーズに合わせ、
新しい掛軸の楽しみ方を提案し、
未来へと掛軸文化をつなげていきます。

新しいインテリア、新しいアートの形、
そして掛軸文化の復活を目指して、

掛軸技術とは表装技術の中のひとつ。
表装とは、紙や糊、刷毛等を使用して、
仏画、書画などを、
掛軸、巻物、襖、屏風、衝立、パネル、和額などに
制作すること。

For over a thousand years,
the art and tradition of kakejiku (hanging scrolls)
have been passed down through generations.

However, in recent years,
the production and sales of kakejiku
have been steadily declining,
leading to concerns that
the skills and cultural significance associated
with them are fading away.

One of the main reasons for this decline is the mismatch
between the kakejiku being produced
and the needs of modern consumers.

Additionally, the lack of awareness regarding
how to appreciate and incorporate kakejiku into daily life,
combined with limited opportunities
for people to experience them firsthand,
has further contributed to the challenges
facing the industry today.

At KAKEJIKUYA,
we aim to bridge this gap by reimagining kakejiku
to meet contemporary demands,
introducing new ways to enjoy and integrate these scrolls
into modern lifestyles,
and ensuring the continued legacy of kakejiku culture
for future generations.

With a focus on creating kakejiku

What is kakejiku craftsmanship?
Kakejiku craftsmanship is a specialized
form of mounting art (hyosō)
that involves using materials
such as paper, paste, and brushes to transform
calligraphy, paintings, and Buddhist art into various formats,
including hanging scrolls (kakejiku), handscrolls, sliding doors,
folding screens, standing panels, mounted panels,
and traditional Japanese frames.
